Terms of service

Last updated

These terms apply when you use codebumble.net. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

These are not your project terms

If you engage Codebumble to do work, that engagement is governed by the proposal and contract we sign with you. Those documents cover scope, payment, intellectual property in the work, warranties and everything else that matters commercially, and where they conflict with this page, they win. Nothing here changes them.

Using the site

You may read this site, and share and quote from it with attribution.

You may not use it to break the law, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to anything connected to it, interfere with how it works for other people, or scrape it at a volume that degrades it for anyone else. Please do not send us anything through our forms that is unlawful, or that you do not have the right to send.

We may restrict access if the site is being misused.

Our content

The design, code, text, images and other material on this site belong to Codebumble Inc. or to whoever licensed them to us.

Quoting from our writing with a link back is welcome and needs no permission. Republishing an article in full, or using our material in something you sell, is not - ask us first and we will usually say yes.

What you send us

You keep ownership of anything you send us through a form. By sending it you give us permission to read it, store it and use it to respond to you. Please do not send confidential information through a web form; if you need to share something sensitive, email us and we will arrange a better route.

This site has no user accounts and no user-published content, so everything on it was put here by us. If you believe something we have published infringes your copyright, tell us and we will deal with it.

Write to hello@codebumble.net with:

  • the work you say has been infringed, and enough detail to identify it
  • the page on this site where the material appears
  • your name and how to reach you
  • a statement that you believe the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law
  • a statement that the information you have given is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them

We review every request. Where a claim looks well founded we remove or disable the material while we look into it, rather than after. If we think a claim is mistaken we will tell you why rather than ignore it.

The Codebumble name and mark

The Codebumble name and the hexagonal mark used across this site identify this company and its work.

You may refer to us by name, link to us, and quote our writing with attribution. That is ordinary factual reference and needs no permission.

You may not use our name or mark as part of your own company, product, domain or branding, alter the mark, or use either in a way that suggests we endorse, supply or are associated with something when we are not.

If you need our logo for a press piece, a conference listing or a partner page, email us and we will send you the right files.

We link to other people's sites where it is useful. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Availability

We aim to keep this site up, but we do not promise that it will be available without interruption, or that it will be free of errors. We may change or remove any part of it at any time.

The site and its content are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about them, express or implied.

Limits of our liability

To the extent the law allows, Codebumble is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of this website.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when we last did.

Governing law

Codebumble Inc. works from Bangladesh, Canada, Cyprus and Denmark. Where a dispute about this website cannot be settled between us, it is dealt with under the law of the country in which the company is registered, and in that country's courts. Nothing here removes a right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
